Petapixel Podcast Opening Photographers

I´m a big fan of the Petapixel Photography Podcast by Sharky James (http://petapixel.com/podcast/).
It´s a twice a week podcast straight to the point, talking about the main news of photography. Good tips, listeners questions and more. I highly recommend it.

Every show is opened by a photographer, famous or not, or by someone related to the photography business. Now, this is interesting, because twice a week you have a chance to get to know and be inspired by other photographers.
So what I've decided to do here is to list in a very concise way, show by show, the opening photographer (or not photographer) and a link to their work.

Hope you enjoy it! Next.......

Bucket List

Since watching the 2007 movie The Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman I´ve always wanted to have my own bucket list.
And of course, due to my passion for photography you´ll see that my personal list is based on it.
No, you will not find nothing about flying, parachuting, sky diving or bungee jump simply because I do not like the thrill. One of my favourite phrases is "If God wanted me to fly he would have given me wings".
So here is my own and personal bucket list. Not in order of importance, I plan doing them all!

  • Street Photography in New York
  • Buy chunks of Equipment at the B&H store in New York
  • Road trip across the USA
  • Road Trip across Europe
  • Street Photography in London. And Paris.
  • Photograph the Northern Lights (Aurora borealis)
  • Photograph Tornadoes and Storm in Texas
  • Do one or two Mentor Series Photo Workshop
  • Photograph the Okavango Delta and the Serengati Migrations

There is more, just can´t remember them at this moment....
Now, very important to be said is that I plan on doing most of these items listed together with my wife and kids....no fun having loads of adventure by myself.

Brief Introduction

My name is Daniel Costa, 41 years of age, married to Elaine  and father of two lovely kids, Letícia and Vinícius, always a inspiration to photograph.
I´ve been photographing since my early 20s, started with film, had a black and white lab at home and spent loads of money on film and revelation!!
I´m a very enthusiastic hobbyist and yes I do suffer of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) but due to constant life threats of my wife I seem to have it under control!!

My idea of having a photography blog is.....to talk about photography.
Talk to who you might ask? There are so many photography blogs out there, pretty much everything has been said and re-said about photography....so.....why a blog?
So I can keep doing what we photographers do concerning photography....we want our own. No use buying a gorgeous postcard of any given place....we want to take our own picture of that place.
Same here....I want to have my say about photography and other matters. Maybe one day my sons will read my blog and laugh of dad´s funny ideas. Who knows? Who cares?

So to wrap it up, the idea of this blog is to give my perception on the photography world and other little things of life.

Hope you enjoy it, I´m certainly going to.

If you have a chance chek out my website and my instagram account.
